Genevieve Montez Gomez, 90, was born on January 29, 1920 in Tyrone, New Mexico, and passed away on April 22, 2010 in Fountain Valley, California.
Genevieve is survived by her loving daughters, Stella Gary of West Covina, Rachel Maytorena of Westminster, Rebecca Forgue of Fountain Valley, sons, Leonard Gomez of La Canada, Ruben Gomez of San Juan Capistrano, Greg Gomez of Hacienda Heights, Dave Gomez of Pico Rivera, Anthony Gomez of Whittier, brother, Henry Montez of City of Commerce, twenty-five grandchildren and twenty-eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at Risher Mortuary Chapel in Montebello, California.
The Rosary will be at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at St. Gregory the Great Church. 13935 Telegraph Road, Whittier, California, 90604.
Funeral Mass will be at 9:30 am on Thursday, April 29, 2010, at Saint Benedict's Catholic Church, 1022 Cleveland Ave., Montebello, California, 90640, with interment following at Calvary Cemetery in East Los Angeles California.
