Nerissa Sagayaga De Mesa, 79 was born on December 20, 1937 in the Philippines to Basilio and Alejandra Sagayaga and entered into eternal rest on November 12, 2017 in Whittier, California.
Nerissa was met at Heaven's gate by her husband, Edgar De Mesa, who preceded her in death.
With a caring heart, Nerissa was a domestic multitasker, making her home a loving and nurturing environment for her family and loved ones for over 65 years. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her dearly. Nerissa "Neri" is a wonderful and amazing woman. Everytime you see her, she always smiling, and any joke you throw at her, she always laughed out loud. She loves reading autobiography books (almost read all known biographies sold in bookstores), novel stories, and as well as magazines. She likes playing crossword puzzles and watching game shows like wheel of fortune. Every single night, on her way to sleep, she watched The Filipino Channel "TFC", played solitaire, and read magazines - Multi tasking :-). Her favorite food is "saluyot" with fish paste and match with tilapia, not to mention rice!! Neri is a truest, sweetest, dearest, most patient, and lovely mother. She took care of all her grandchildren as her crown jewels - Always putting grandchildren first before hers. Very generous and committed to donate to church. She always say "God gives mercy to those who help themselves." SHE BREATHED AND LIVED HER FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST.
Nerissa leaves behind her loving family: Son, Eugene De Mesa (Fermina) of Norwalk, California, Daughter, Sheryl Ada (Anthony) of the Philippines, Daughter, Melinda De Mesa (Russel Snider) of Orange, California, Granddaughter, Avery Ada of the Philippines, Grandson, Aizle Ada of the Philippines, Grandson, Antonio Miguel Ada of the Philippines, Granddaughter, Peyton Snider of Orange, California, Sister, Lolita Gonzalvo of the Philippines, Sister, Violeta Ty of the Philippines, as well as several other family members and friends.
