Nevart Kassabian was born in 1930, in Tripoli, Lebanon, to Smbat and Mary Kassabians. She was the youngest of three sisters.
Nevart lost her parents at a very young age, therefore she had spent her childhood and teen years at the "Birds Nest" in Byblos, Lebanon, together with her two sisters. She earned her elementary and secondary education in the orphanage, then under the sponsorship and care of an American doctor, Mr. and Mrs. Johnson, she earned a nursing diploma, while studying and doing internship at the John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital in Tripoli.
After working in the hospital for a short time, she got married to Mr. John Boladian. The young couple had two children, Kathy and Rita. In the early sixties the family relocated to Beirut, Lebanon, where Mrs. Boladian was a housewife, raising her kids and taking care of their education, becoming an exemplary Armenian mother and wife while doing so.
In December 1975, the family immigrated to the United States, and settled in the city of Montebello, Ca. Unfortunately in 1985 she lost her husband and that had a significant emotional effect on her, because she loved him very much. Nonetheless, she found great pleasure and satisfaction in raising her four grand children, feeding them, caring for them, and taking care of her beloved garden, that she adored.
Mrs. Boladian was a brilliant cook. She spent most of her time in the kitchen cooking delicious food and pastries, and sharing them with family, friends and relatives.
Mrs. Nevart lived her long life surrounded by her family and grandchildren. Lately, because of her advanced age she had some health issues that she overcame bravely. Unfortunately, on October 30, 2020 she had to part life and passed away leaving her family and friends and relatives in grief.
May she rest in peace.
