Olivia Valerio was born to Agapito and Juana (Camacho) Rodriguez on October 28, 1946 in Mexico and entered into eternal rest on December 30, 2016 in Monterey Park, California. She was 70 years old.
Olivia is survived by her loving husband Humberto Valerio of Baldwin Park and her two children; daughter Xochitl Valerio and son Frank Valerio both of El Monte. She also leaves behind her sisters; Norma Mejia of Pico Rivera and Julieta (Max) Prieto of National City along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Olivia was a woman who had such a profound effect on anyone who came across her. She would always just let herself be loved and was always looking out for those who needed any kind of comfort during difficult times. She wasn’t the kind of person who would let the hardships of life get in the way of wanting to make all of those around her feel deeply happy and special. Her smile was so heartwarming and comforting, her laughter was always contagious and carefree, and her heart was as immense of as the entire universe. Her huge love of animals of all kinds spoke of her generosity to give those who are helpless a helping hand. The unbounding love of her children would give them fortitude, courage, and hope to live out their entire lives with their heads held up high. She wouldn’t have wanted us to feel sad her for, we could almost hear her saying that. She would have wanted us to cherish her legacy for being a selfless, feisty, and jovial spirit. Words will never be enough to describe someone like Olivia, she was one of those rare souls that affected everyone so profoundly. There will always be some minor detail or gesture that she made that will come up at a random moment and bring a smile to your face. That is how she will always be remembered.
