PATRICIA MAE DEMETRI

Patricia Mae Demetri, 81, was born on July 5, 1943, in Detroit, Michigan, and she departed this life on April 12, 2025, in Downey, California.

Patricia was a remarkable woman who navigated life's joys and challenges with grace and resilience. A devoted fan of science fiction and fantasy, she found joy in the worlds of Star Trek, Lord of the Rings, and Harry Potter. Her love for exploration led her to travel across the country, creating cherished memories with friends, many of whom she met through her community at Bethany Lutheran Church.

An original Trekkie, Patricia actively participated in conventions during her youth and had some of her poetry featured in independent magazines, a testament to her creative spirit. She dedicated nearly 60 years to the nursing profession, including her service in the army, embodying compassion and commitment in her care for others. As she reflected on her life, one of her heartfelt wishes was to have spent more time fishing.

Patricia is survived by her beloved grandchild, Gene Fore. She was predeceased by her son, Patrick Gus Demetri, and daughter, Belinda Viola Wolever. Her legacy will continue to inspire those who knew and loved her.
