Patricia Ann Velte
January 19, 1932 — August 16, 2017
Mrs. Patricia Ann (Van Duinen) Velte born on January 19, 1932 began her new life dancing in the presences of Jesus on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 in Seal Beach, California.
She graduated from Godwin High School, served in the community, and had a career as an accountant in Wyoming, Michigan. She will be remembered for the kind and loving ways that she nurtured the relationships in her life. Pat valued her friends and family deeply, always paying attention to the stories of their lives. Pat survived many physical obstacles along the way. At the age of 19, she lost the use of her legs, but her courageous spirit, deep conviction, and love, carried her through this life in powerful ways.
Pat will be deeply missed by family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Velte and her daughter, Susan Van Eerden, along with her parents, Jake Van Duinen and Helen Monica, and brother Robert Van Duinen. She is survived by her daughter DeeDee Encinas, and son-in-law, Andrew Van Eerden along with her grandchildren. Jenny and Mick Montgomery, Brian and Julia Van Eerden, Adrian and Karen Encinas, Emily Wierenga, David Van Eerden, Jake and Adrienne Encinas, and her seven great-grandchildren, Alyx, Max, Andrew, Juliet,Lucy, Kelton, and newest arrival, baby Harper.
Pat will rest in peace at Resurrection Cemetery in Wyoming, Michigan.
