Preston Warren Kinz

January 17, 1976 — May 25, 2023

Preston Warren Kinz Profile Photo
Preston Warren Kinz was born in Bellflower, California on January 17, 1976, to Kenneth and Peggy (Burch) Kinz.

One of his childhood nicknames was “Guy Smiley” as he liked to ham it up for the cameras being the first grandchild and only son.

He was raised in Norwalk, California (the pillar of the community” as he would say). Preston was very active in sports throughout his childhood. In 1994, Preston met his future wife, Renee Gutierrez, and they subsequently married in 2000. Although they didn’t have children of their own, Preston was a beloved uncle
to both sides of the family. Preston’s passion for sports extended to his love of the local teams, especially the Dodgers and Raiders; even though they moved to Las Vegas. Preston and Renee would travel to see them play and usually lose to the hometown team. His other passion was wrestling, it didn’t matter if it was Japanese New Japan, Mexican Lucha Libre, or AEW, Preston watched it all. Unbeknownst to friends, Preston was a cat dad to Howie and Memo and he loved and spoiled his boys. Preston was diagnosed with advanced-stage pancreatic cancer in April and fought to the end. He died with his wife by his side on May 25, 2023

He will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him. Preston is survived by his wife, Renee, his
father, Kenneth, stepmother, Dawn, his sister, Melissa, Aunts, Noel, Connie, and Kathy, Uncles, Rick, and Don, his in-laws, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He was predeceased by his mom, Peggy, grandparents Eldon and Betty Burch, George and Maxine Kinz, and nephew Jacob Beason.
