Rachel Hernandez, 85, was born on October 9, 1927 in Santa Monica, Ca., and passed away on November 10, 2012 in Norwalk, Ca. She was previously employed as a Food Server for the Los Angeles Unified School District for 15 years.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 8, 2012 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, with a Prayer Service beginning at 7:00 pm at our Risher Chapel, 1316 Whittier Blvd., Montebello, 90640.
Rachel is survived by daughter Saundra (Gil) Garcia, sons Arthur Steven (Laura) Hernandez and Larry John Hernandez, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
One of Rachel's passions was her garden. She had a beautiful, colorful assortment of flowers in which she took great pride. She will best be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and a proud great-grandmother.
Rachel will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. May she rest in eternal peace.
