Ralph Aguirre Profile Photo
Ralph Aguirre, our “Rock” was born on October 8, 1938, in Los Angeles, California and entered into eternal rest at his home in Pico Rivera on October 31, 2014. Ralph proudly served his country in the United States Navy and was given an Honorable Discharge. He then went on to his career as a drafting engineer for Klochner & Moeller where he worked for over 35 years. He was born to Mariano Aguirre and Catalina Vargas, together they had 5 children, Julia, Avelina, Joseph, Ralph and Manuel. His dad passed away at an early age and later his mom re-married Jesus Lagos, together they had Dolores. Ralph leaves behind his remaining 3 siblings, Julia, Lena and Manuel, his wife Virginia, his family of 78 nieces and nephews, all like children to him, sister-in-laws, cousins and friends.

He was a great noble man, one that was kind, caring, generous, sensitive, and tough. He had one of the biggest hearts, especially for his family. Having lost his father at an early age, he grew up super close to his siblings, always looking out for one another. They were immensely close, a bond that could not be broken. Having never had any natural children of his own, he was close to all of his nieces and nephews, he taught them all to be good, respectful, tough, caring, fearless and most of all "Family Oriented"! His family was everything to him and his love for them was great!

Ralph grew up in the East part of Los Angeles and attended Garfield High School. After graduating he joined the service to be in the Navy. He led a great life seeing many places traveling. When he grew older, he started caring for his mother, making sure she was always taken care of and properly cared for. His love for his mother was at "peaks high" and that became his life. When his sister Julie's husband passed, he stepped in to help his eldest sister, who had her hands full with her 6 children and working, so he became a role model and father figure for them. He loved them all so much, his heart was so big, that he took John in to live with him, to show him how to become a great man as well.

In 1981 he lost his mother, Catalina, he was saddened by her death, it broke his heart, but he knew she was in a better place. Ralph's life was full and now it became fuller, when he married his wife Virginia in 1983. They were married for 31 years. Virginia had 4 children and he was a great stepfather to them and just as great to their children. Ralph lost 2 of his siblings, Joseph and Dolores in 2011, which was very difficult for him to endure, but like the strong man that he was, he kept on being strong. He has blessed and impacted so many lives. A father figure too many and a friend to all!

He was hard working, dependable, structured and very independent. Definitely a great man, husband, brother, uncle, cousin, stepfather, godfather and friend and he will be greatly missed.
There is a great big hole where Ralph once was and all are saddened by this great loss.
A man like no other! A heart of gold! Ralph's legacy will live on in the lives and hearts of his loved ones forever!
