Ralph Burke Skinner
January 6, 1930 — September 5, 2015
Ralph "Roger" Burke Skinner was born to Ralph Henry Skinner and Agnes Lucille Burke on January 6, 1930 in Beaver, Utah and entered into eternal rest on September 5, 2015 in Huntington Beach, California. He was 85 years old. Ralph proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for more than 20 years, and was given an Honorable Discharge. More recently, he was employed as a Youth Counselor for the State of California for over 15 years.
Ralph Burke Skinner, also known as Uncle Roger to his many nieces and nephews, was a man who loved his family and his animals very much. His first dog was a sheep dog and his last, Dolly, was a french bulldog. The love of his life was Elizabeth Ann Henry and there was not a day he did not miss her after she died at the age of 46. Now he is reunited with her. He was always an individual who believed in honor and integrity and taught all of us to always stand up and do the right thing along with always loving animals. He had a keen sense of humor and a deep compassion for the less fortunate. He tried to always live a life of honor and dignity. Although his death is sad, he had a life that was full and rich and as a close family member, Tere, observed, had more ups than downs. He will be missed, but always remembered in all of our hearts.
He devoted his life to animals and their well-being. His expressed wish was absolutely no flowers or fuss. He would like, if people should so choose, for donations to be made to the San Diego Humane Society (to the Escondido location). You can donate one of three ways:

Ralph is survived by his daughter Jane Mitchell (Clyde Harwood) of Long Beach, California.
