Rebecca Davenport was born to Marian and David Thurman on September 29, 1950 in Ray, Arizona and entered into eternal rest on April 4, 2016 in Los Angeles, California. She was 65 years old. Previously, Rebecca worked as a bartender for over 20 years.

Rebecca is survived by her daughter Jaime (Jason Sterling) Stone of Downey, California. She alos leaves behind her four grandchildren; Alexander Morales, London Haines, Miranda Sterling, Matthew Sterling all of Downey, California and her niece Ashley Butler of Illinois.

My mother was a wonderful woman. She had a heart of gold .If anyone was ever in need, she would give you the shirt off her back. If you needed something she couldn't provide, she would go out of her way to find it for you or a resource to get it. She had a light around her. When she walked into a room it would shine. Her humor would make you laugh or at least smile, even on your darkest day. She was very creative, liked to paint ceramics in her spare time. Growing up, I remember she used to like to sew. She made my Halloween costumes, a couple of Easter outfits for myself and her niece Ashley.I remember thinking as I got older and saw those pictures "how embarrassing". Every holiday she would make her own decorations, our house was decorated to such an extreme at Christmas. Especially, you would feel like you just walked into the North Pole. I used to think we were poor and couldn't afford things that were made from the stores that other people would buy to decorate their own homes with, fancy costumes with designer labels other children wore. Now as a mother, I realize that I was the richest child in the world because everything my mom did was with careful thought, it took her time, sweat and I'm sure at times tears. Above all I know everything she did was with her undying love. Her love for me, her grandchildren and family. She gave all her heart in life, and in her death our memories of her and her heart is what she leaves behind. You will always be loved, cherished and missed mom. Never forgotten. You will be with us always.Your light no longer just shines in the room, it now shines from above. Until we see you again, thank you for all you have done. We love you always
