Rebecca E. Meza, 84, was born in Los Angeles, California on April 15, 1928 and passed away in Whittier, California on February 18, 2013. Born to Manual and Susana Estrada,she had 5 sisters and 2 brothers. On September 8, 1946, Rebecca Estrada married Rudolfo D. Meza in Yuma, Arizona. On October 14, 2003, Rebecca E. Meza said goodbye to her husband of 58 years. On February 18, 2013, she rejoined her husband, her eldest son, and 6 of her siblings in heaven.
Rebecca was previously employed as a Customer Service Administrator for Cummins of California, in the Fabric Distributing industry for 32 years. She was a proud member of the Native Daughters of the Golden West from 1971 until the time of her death. She will be fondly remembered for her love of her family and continued love of music and dancing.
A Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 3, 2013 from 4:00-7:00pm in the Risher Montebello Mortuary Chapel & Reception Center. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 4, 2013 at 8:00am at Calvary Chapel Montebello. Interment will follow at Rose Hills Memorial Park.
Rebecca is survived by her daughters, Linda Ruiz of Whittier, Becky (Richard) Covarrubias of Montebello, Kathy Filer of Apple Valley and Donna Guardian of Montebello, and her sons, Richard Meza of Hesperia and Kenneth Meza of Whittier. She is predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Rudolfo Meza and her son, Raul Meza. She also leaves 28 grandchildren and 46 great grandchildren and her sister, Susan Salazar of Hemet.
