He is survived by his 9 grandchildren Christopher Olivas, Maria Lopez, Rhonda Olivas, Diane Prado, Richard Olivas, Sabrina Hernandez, Andrew Hernandez, Cynthia Tapia, Tracey Tapia and many great grandchildren. Richard was greeted at Heavens gate by his loving daughter Diane Olivas who preceded him in death.
