Richard Castro Huerta, 69 was born June 21, 1949 to Alfredo Huerta and Margarita Castro in Brawley, California and entered into rest December 2, 2017 in Norwalk, California.
Richard was a Forklift Crew Leader for over 29 years and served in the United States Army earning an honorable discharge for bravely fighting for our freedom. He was the eldest son of six children. As a child he was an altar boy. He was drafted in 1969 into The United States Army. He had an impressive 40 year military career which included the Army Reserve. He was also working at Saint Gobain/Foster Forbes glass division for 29 years. He was married for 27 years then divorced with 2 daughters. His hobbies included going to the movies and watching classic movies. He also enjoyed oldies from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s. He loved going to car shows to see classic cars, hot rods and lowriders. He was really funny and loved spending time with his family.
Richard is survived by his loving family; Daughter, Clair Huerta of Commerce, California, Daughter, Holly Alvarez of Commerce, California, Granddaughter, Celeste Alvarez of Commerce, California, Sister, Mary Elena Huerta of Yucaipa, California, Sister, Mary Lou Nietos of Whittier, California, Sister, Margie Copen Of Golden Valley, California, Brother, Anthony Huerta of Anaheim, California and numerous Nieces, Nephews & Cousins.
