Rolando Estrada, 74, was born July 28, 1947 in Guatemala to Armando Estrada Cabrera and Ernestina Santos Alvarado, and entered into eternal rest on March 7, 2022 in Paramount, California.

Rolando dedicated over 30 years as an Ordained Pastor.

Below is written by his son, Armando:
One of my dad’s favorite hobbies was to go Surf Fishing at Venice Beach near the rocks. We spent countless weekends going there with my Dad, and my brother Neri, and would be there fishing early in the mornings.

He loved the special times with meditation on the goodness of God and we worshiped the Lord together on that beach. So many beautiful memories there together with dad since 1980.

He also loved to attend to all our sporting events for his sons, and grandchildren. No matter how busy he was in ministry or work, he always made special time for us all. He enjoyed grilling & barbecues. His favorite BBQs were grilling ribs. We all savored grandpa’s grilled ribs. The best ever!

But most of all, my father taught us to love the Lord with all our heart and with all our strength. He taught us to love others and forgive.

He truly loved my mother. He was there for her in sickness and in health, he kept his vows to the Lord in loving, caring and providing for my mother and our family until he went to be with the Lord.

My father is my hero. He showed me how to play guitar, and God used this ministry to bring countless souls to His kingdom.

I guess God truly loves fishermen. My dad was the best!

He heard God’s call to become a fisherman of men, as an ordained Pastor, he led countless souls to Christ through his ministry and testimony, and followed Christ until he victoriously finished the race on March 7, 2022.

This is the legacy of my father Rolando Estrada. A legacy of love, humility and service to God.

Rolando is survived by his loving Wife, Aura Marina Estrada, Sons Armando De Jesus Estrada and Neri Rolando Estrada, Daughters, Anna Mireles, Iris Estrada Velasquez and Maria Ernestina Del Angel.
