Ron Keith Amy,68, was born on October 31, 1939 in Neptune, New Jersey, went home to be with the Lord on August 18, 2008 due to a drowning accident. He resided in Huntington Beach for 42 years. Mr. Amy was previously employed with the Orange Unified School District for 33 years as a Physical Education teacher. He was a member of the Long Beach Surf Club, Long Beach Bridge Club, Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity - CSULB, and St. Peters by the Sea Presbyterian Church. He was an adventurous soul, enjoying not only his family but surfing, traveling, hunting, bridge and his church.

Mr. Amy is survived by his wife, Phyllis, his son, Richard of Fallbrook, his daughter, Mindi Masters of Huntington Beach, and six grandchildren of whom he was extremely proud of and who gave him great joy. He also leaves behind his sisters, Star Bonney of Huntington Beach and Merrilee Amy of Vancouver, Washington.

A memorial service in celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2008 at 11:00 am at St. Peters by the Sea Church, 16911 Bolsa Chica Street, Huntington Beach, Ca. 92649 -- (714) 846-6641.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the World Impact Scholarship Fund at 2001 South Vermont Ave., Los Angeles, Ca. 90007. Please designate Code #1072, which is the Los Angeles Christian School Student Sponsorship Fund.
