Rose Catherine Fager

Rose Catherine Fager, 77, a long-time Montebello resident, was born in Los Angeles on November 11, 1934 and passed away in Torrance on March 11, 2012.
Rose was the consummate daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. She loved her grandchildren, particularly enjoying them in their various sports activities. Rose's genuine caring encircled her close friends and neighbors of more than 40 years. She loved animals, particularly her special pets over the years. Escapes included travels to Las Vegas for shows and concerts. She was a true-blue Dodger fan, attending games for over 30 years.
Rose is predeceased by the love of her life and husband for 50 years - Bob. They are together again. She is survived by her son Bobby and his wife Cathy, who transcended being a daughter-in-law. She became Rose's partner, inspiration and the genuine daughter Rose never had. Grandchildren Anthony, Nicholas and Juliana were the light in her eyes. Proud in her Italian heritage, Rose leaves a notable and extended family of cousins throughout Southern California, various states and Italy. Those closest to Rose in her final months included niece Linda, nephew Dave, best friend for 62-years Yolanda, cousin Pina Bocca, Gretchen, Zina and goddaughter, Anna Marie.
Rose embodied spirit, humor and love. She touched and inspired their lives in immeasurable ways and her family is blessed to have had her as their own.
Visitation will be held from 10:00am to 12 noon in the Risher Montebello Mortuary chapel. Mass of the Christian burial will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2012 at 1:00pm at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal church with a private interment at Calvary Cemetery.
