Rudy Lopez

Rudy Lopez was born in Los Angeles on Oct 6th, 1926 and departed this life on August 2nd 2024 at 97 years old.
Rudy enlisted in the merchant marines and obtained his wings as a paratrooper, as well as a boxing manager in the service. He continued boxing when he returned home at Jeffrey's Barn, where he won titles in different weight classes and won many different prestigious boxing awards.
After returning home, he married his childhood sweetheart and they had 4 children together, Linda, Lorraine, Pat, and Johnny. Many fun and happy times were spent in yearly trips to Hawaii and many other adventures. He was a loving, supportive, generous father and embraced life to the fullest.
He went on to remarry after the passing of his first wife, Stella. Then after the passing of his second wife, Patty Ann, he went on to have another loving companion, Josie, whom he shared many years with until her passing.
Rudy, with the help of friends, organized a yearly reunion dance for his Alpine neighborhood friends. It was pure joy for himself and his cherished lifelong friends.
He played racquetball for many years and perfected his game and consistently beat competitors. He played into his 80s until he eventually retired from it.
He excelled in everything he set his mind to.
He was a self made man and became very successful and shared his wealth with his family and others close to him. Rudy was a bigger than life figure and touched many lives with his deep value of friendship, love morals, values, generosity, kindness and love of life itself. He never gave up in life but faced things head on. He was a courageous, loving soul. He lived life his way and on his terms until the end. He will live on in the hearts of everyone he was close to. He will be missed beyond belief.
