Rudy Munoz, 85, was born in Los Angeles on September 26, 1926 and passed away in Montebello on December 13, 2011.
Rudy was previously employed with Hoffman Brothers as a Meat Packer for 26 years. Most important to Rudy is his love for his children and grandchildren and he enjoyed having family BBQ's. He loved yardwork and his beautiful garden. He followed the horse races daily and his favorite outing was going to the track. His favorite saying was that some day he was going to win the Lottery!
Visitation services will be held on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 from 5-9:00 pm. A vigil service will held the same evening at 7:00pm. Mass of the Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2011 at 9:00am at St. Benedict Church. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
Rudy is survived by his son, Rudy E. Munoz of Montebello, his daughters, Rose Carter of Montebello, Dolores Jones of Covina and Irene Johnston of Whittier. He also leaves 9 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, his brother, Charles Munoz of West Covina, his sisters, Estella Zarate of Whittier, Anna Horcasitas of Covina and many nieces and nephews.
