Ruth Lois Hirsch
May 25, 1926 — February 4, 2016
Ruth Lois Hirsch was born on May 25, 1926. Ruth attended school in New York City and Long Branch, New Jersey until age 15 when she moved with her family to Los Angeles, California and attended Fairfax High School. After graduation she attended UCLA where she graduated with a major in Sociology.
Ruth married Jerome Hirsch on October 31, 1948, and they had two children James and Brett. The family bought a new home and moved to Anaheim, California in 1959 where Ruth resided for the rest of her life.
She was predeceased by her parents, Bernard and Sophia, grandparents George and Jenny, her husband Jerome, her son James, and her beloved aunts Edna and Doris.
Ruth is survived by her son Brett and daughter Joan, grandsons Jerome and Alexander, her cousins June and Steve, and her sister Phyllis Ruderman and the Ruderman family.
We want to recognize the wonderful care she received from Victoria Joseph and Emilia Cuevas and the generosity of John Simon of the Anaheim Public Library.
