It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Sabrina Elizabeth Ramos, who left us on Friday, June 21, 2024, at the age of 27. Born in Los Alamitos, California, Sabrina was a bright light in the lives of everyone who knew her.
Sabrina was an avid learner with a passion for social issues that impact our daily lives, including the environment, equity, and the rights of those who often fall through the cracks of our system. Her dedication to these causes was evident in everything she did, and she strived to make the world a better place.
An artist at heart, Sabrina found joy in painting, and her art collection is both awe-inspiring and thought-provoking, shedding light on today's social struggles. She also loved to dig her toes in the sand, kayak, and visit a local herd of cows near her favorite home location in Claremont.
Sabrina adored all animals but had a special spot in her heart for her dog, Penelope, whom she loved to take on hikes, bus rides, and kayaking adventures. Penelope was her loyal companion, sharing many of Sabrina's most cherished moments.
Sabrina is survived by her loving father, David Ramos; her brothers, Daniel Ramos and Joey Navarro; her sister, Emily Ramos; and by loving aunts, uncles and cousins. Although Sabrina was a private soul, her impact on her family, friends, and community was immeasurable.
A memorial service to celebrate Sabrina's life will be held at Risher Mortuary in Montebello on July 10 from 2 PM to 5 PM. Friends and family are invited to gather and honor her memory.
In lieu of flowers, Sabrina would rather donations be made to
Mutual Aid LA Network
or the
National Harm Reduction Coalition
, two charities that were important to her.
Sabrina's spirit, passion, and creativity will be deeply missed, but her legacy will continue to inspire all who knew her.
Condolences may be sent to the family through our website.
