Sara Mendoza Garcia

Sara Mendoza Garcia, 83, was born on September 26, 1928 in Villa Matamoros, Chihuahua Mexico and passed away on December 5, 2011 in Montebello, California.
First in her life, Sara loved God, was a strong Christian woman and read her bible daily. She was a true prayer warrior and went to church every Thursday and Sunday. Sara was a generous, loving and strong willed woman. She enjoyed knitting and loved to visit people. She walked the perimeter of the Montebello City Park 5 times every day for 30 years and made many friends along the way.
Sara is survived by her loving children, Alfred Garcia of Montebello, Olga Brown of Pico Rivera, Tere Ruiz of Highland Park, Francisco Garcia of Mexico City, Sara Garcia of Montebello and Raul Armando Garcia of Los Angeles. She also leaves 25 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson. She ia also survived by her siblings, Camerina Alvidrez and Luis Mendoza, both of Los Angeles, Ruben and Abraham Mendoza, both of Montebello, Rebecca Martinez of Arizona and Loida Alvidrez of Los Angeles.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 12, 2011 from 5-9:00pm at the Risher Montebello Mortuary Chapel, 1316 Whittier Blvd., Montebello, CA 90640 with the Prayer service at 7:00pm. The Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at 10:30am also at the Risher Montebello Mortuary Chapel. Interment will follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery 3640 Whittier Blvd.,Los Angeles, CA 90023.
