Simon M. Pedraza, 95, was born on October 22, 1913 in Texas, and passed away on September 5, 2009, in Monterey Park, California.
Simon was a long time member of the Monterey Park American Legion Post #397. He was in the Army during World War II, and honorable discharged on December 21, 1945. He will be dearly missed by his friends and family.
Simon is survived by his loving wife, Nellie Pedraza of Monterey Park, daughter, Eileen Williams of La Puente, five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
Visitation will be from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Friday, September 11, 2009 at Risher Mortuary Chapel in Montebello, California.
The vigil and funeral mass will be at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church, 920 North Garfield Ave., Montebello, California. The Vigil will begin at 8:00 pm on Friday, September 11, 2009 and the funeral mass will start at 9:00 am on Saturday, September 12, 2009, with interment following at Resurrection Cemetery in Montebello, California.
