Socorro Sillas

Socorro "Cora " Sillas was born on September 24, 1936, to Sixto & Frances Franco. On July 12, 1958, Cora married Herman Sillas, Jr., and was a dedicated and supportive wife of 65 years until Herman passed away on November 22, 2023. Socorro Sillas is survived by five children, eleven grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren.
She loved and cherished her family until she passed away peacefully on Christmas Eve morning, December 24, 2024. Her love for her family came only second to her love for the Lord. Throughout her life, she loved the Lord Jesus Christ and her love for Christ led her on a trip to visit Israel, where she was baptized in the Jordan River and walked on the streets of Jerusalem. Cora loved to read her Bible daily as well as devotional books up until she could no longer do so.
Along with raising her five children, Cora was a bookkeeper, a manager at DeLuna' Jewelry store, a florist at the Adventist Hosptial in Glendale as well as taking trips with her church to orphanages. Cora enjoyed traveling with her husband, Herman, to Mexico on numerous occasions and then eventually on trips to Italy, Switzerland, France, and Spain. Cora is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren as well as her friends. Please join us as we celebrate her life.
