Sylvia Christina Lungo (64), born February 19, 1948 entered into eternal rest on May 21, 2012 in Los Angeles, CA.
Sylvia will be best remembered as a loving and compassionate wife and companion.
She is survived by her husband, Mauricio, of Whittier, CA, Stepdaughter, Laura Natalia Lungo (Erik) and Grandson, Rodrigo, of Mexico City, a brother, Edward (Johanna) Zea of San Francisco, CA and 3 nephews, Christian (Andrea), of San Rafael, CA, Peter (Trish) of Yosemite, CA and Erik (Karen) of San Francisco, CA.
She was such a loving and caring daughter who took of her Father, Oscar Zea for so many years. Sylvia also was a great Aunt, always available to her 3 nephews who she thought of and loved as her own. She also loved to travel, whether it was a weekend get-away or a long multi-country trip.
Sylvia was a 2nd grade teacher at Garfield Elementary School for over 34 years and there is no doubt that she will be greatly missed by every student and coworker who knew her. She was a mentor to so many.
Services will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at 11:30am. St Marianna de Paredes Catholic Church, 7930 So. Passons Blvd, Pico Rivera, CA 90660
The celebration of Sylvia's life will continue at a memorial luncheon immediately following the mass at The Radisson Hotel in Whittier, CA.
