Sylvia Kathleen Morita

Sylvia Kathleen Hurd was born on September 12, 1942 at Pahl Hospital in Los Angeles, California. Her parents were Edward Marshall Hurd and Ursula Mary Valch Hurd.and entered into eternal rest on April 26, 2018 in Downey, California.
With a helpful and caring heart, Sylvia was a Pre-School Teacher in the education system for over 20 years. Sylvia was a veteran of the United States Navy and earned an Honorable Discharge for her years bravely fighting for our freedom. Sylvia grew up in North Dakota and settled in Los Angeles, California. Sylvia graduated High School in June of 1961. She served in the Navy for one and a half years and received an Honorable Medical Discharge. She wanted to be a nurse, however, in 1963, Sylvia decided to started a family in 1963. Sylvia had four beautiful children. Sylvia loved her dogs and enjoyed going to the beach and visiting Las Vegas. Sylvia will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Sylvia leaves behind her loving family: Daughter, Morana Kuykendall of Anaheim, California, Daughter, Chanda Kuykendall of Norwalk, California, Son, Lars Morita (Rhonda) of Whittier, California, Son, Gunnar Morita of Pennsylvania, as well as her twelve loving grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren and several other family members and friends who loved her and will miss her dearly.
