On January 30th, 2016, Tom Linn, beloved husband, father, and grandfather went to Heaven. Tom was born in Davenpor, Iowa on August 7th, 1962 and moved to California in his early 20's. He was loved by many as he always showed love to others, (as he ) sought to help and see the best in all those he came in contact with. He lived his life, knowing that God was first and foremost; always sharing the truth of God's word and the need for salvation through singing or speaking. He has owned R & D Air Conditioning in Bellflower, California for 22 years. Although his occupation was in air conditioning, heating, and refrigeration, he spent 20 years coaching baseball, softball, wrestling, and football for youth sports in the city of Norwalk (and at) Calvary Chapel Downey Christian School. He loved to spend time with his kids helping them understand their academics, sports, and most of all their love for Jesus. He was a loving husband who is greatly missed but he always reassured his family and friends that God's will is perfect and Heaven is really not that far away; knowing that someday, in God's timing, there will be an amazing reunion. In November of 2013, he was diagnosed with stage four pancreatic cancer. Tom knew his life was in God's hands and with God's help the battle against cancer began. He shared his journey with those he came in contact with, letting them know that true peace in life only comes from the understanding of God's grace as spoken of in 2 Corinthians 12: 8-9. God was faithful ) and in Tom's physical weakness, God became his (and our family’s) strength like never before. On January 30th at 2:40 am God gave Tom the biggest miracle of his life and brought him home to Heaven.
Tom is survived by his loving family: wife Amber Linn of Norwalk, CA, daughter Renee (Troy) James of Beresford, SD, son Micah (Allie) Linn of Beresford, SD, son Caleb (Alyssa) Linn of Orange City, IA, and daughters Micayla Linn, Cailey Linn and Calissa Linn all of Norwalk, CA He also was a loving grandfather to his grandchildren Malachi and Micah James.
