Tomasa Marie Melendez

Tomasa Marie Melendez, 69, was born in Los Angeles, Ca. on September 20, 1941 and passed away in Montebello on December 19, 2010. She was a Medical Assistant for 30 years. Tomasa was very active in the St. Benedict Church. She was a member and Past President of their Altar Society, she was a Eucharistic Minister, a Lector and taught Catechism classes.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be held on Wed., December 29, 2010 at 9am at St. Benedict Church with the vigil service on Tues., December 28, 2010 at 7pm at Risher Montebello Mortuary. The viewing will be held on Tues. from 5-9pm also at the Mortuary. Interment will follow the mass at Calvary Cemetery.
Tomasa is survived by her daughter, Keely Melendez Corcoran of Granite Bay, her mother, Virginia Cazares of Montebello, her sister, Magdalena Bezerra of Whittier and her brother, Rudolph Chico Jr. of Merritt Island, FL. She also leaves 2 grandaughters, Lauren and Ashley.
