Trinidad "Chata" Maldonado was born on November 6, 1924 in Hayden, Arizona to Clemente and Trinidad (Lara) Martinez. She entered into rest on October 6, 2017. She was 92 years old.
Trinidad was met at Heaven's gate by her beloved husband, Robert, who preceded her in death.
Trinidad was raised in San Pedro, a village in Hayden and graduated from Hayden High School in 1944, along with her brother Genevevo (Bevo) Martinez. She moved to Los Angeles along with her older sister, Emma Martinez Pantoja in 1944. In 1945, she met Robert Landonado who was recently discharged from the army and they were married that year. Their marriage produced 3 boys, Eddie, Bobby, and Gilbert. They made their home in Montebello, California. With a caring and loving heart, Trinidad was a hardworking homemaker for 72 years, and will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.
Trinidad is survived by her sons, Eddie, Bobby, and Gilbert, and her niece, Elda Altorre. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson, Brother, Joe Martinez (Vicky), Sister in laws, Virginia Cruz, Tinita Maldonado, and Hortencia Rodriguez as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
