Vartkes Antranig Arabian, 78, was born in Syria on June 10, 1933 and passed away in Whittier, Ca. on May 18, 2012.
Vartkes was previously a self-employed jeweler for 10 years. He was very involved in the Holy Cross Armenian Apostolic Cathedral and had served on their Trustee Board. He also was a leader in the Homenetmen Organization for many years. Vartkes loved to play cards, poker and traveling to Las Vegas.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 24, 2012 at 10:30AM at Holy Cross Armenian Apostolic Cathedral. Interment will follow at Rose Hills Memorial Park.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years of marriage, Loucine Arabian of Montebello, his son, Krikor Arabian of Hacienda Hts., his daughter, Sosi Kasbarian of Montebello and his son, Steve Arabian of Montebello. He also leaves 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren and his brother, Zaven Arabian of Glendale.
