Victor A. Avina, 67, was born in Mexico and passed away in Los Angeles on September 12, 2012. He was previously a machine operator for 15 years in the aircraft manufacturing industry. Most of his years were spent with McDonnell Douglas. Victor loved to play & watch soccer, was an avid Dodger fan and loved farming and raising crops and goats.
Visitation Services will be held on Friday, September 21, 2012 from 5-9:00pm in the Risher Montebello Mortuary Chapel. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at 11:00am also in the Risher Mortuary Chapel, with a reception following in the Risher Reception Center until 2:00pm.
He is survived by his loving wife, Antonia Avina of Los Angeles, his sons, Juan R. Avina and Victor Avina, both of Los Angeles and Sergio Avina of Compton, and his daughter, Margarita Cabrera of Los Angeles. He also leaves 6 grandchildren and his siblings, Amelia Raygoza and Juan Avina, both of Compton, and Santiago Avina, Felicitas, Celia, Esperanza Raygoza and Consuelo, all of Mexico.
