Victor Paul Martinez, 56, was born in Rivera, CA on August 14, 1957 and passed away in Sammamish, WA on May 24, 2014. Victor proudly served his country in the United States Air Force where he was trained in telecommunications. He was given an Honorable Discharge. He continued in this line of work for the years that followed. His work lead him on many travels through the US and internationally as well. It was during these travels that he met his loving wife Ana Maria. They were married in Acapulco, Mexico, December 1, 2007. Victor had a deep appreciation for the beauty of nature, from the mighty ocean, snow covered mountain tops, open green pastures, and beautiful desert sunsets. He also was in awe of the many creatures God placed on this earth. He took pleasure in visiting obscure animal farms and zoos. He preferred the small town rural life to the hustle and bustle of the city. His true passion was the Pacific Northwest and all it offered, clean air, abundance of open areas, the ocean, the mountains. It was safe, clean, and home.

A Rosary will be held on Friday, June 6, 2014 at 12:30 pm, prior to the Memorial Mass at 1:00 pm at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church. A reception will follow and directions will be given out at the Mass.

Victor is survived by his loving wife, Ana Maria Martinez of Sammamish, WA, his children, Angela and Victor Jr. Martinez, his parents, Emilio and Jovita Martinez of Monterey Park, and his siblings, Vibiana (Manuel) Gonzalez of Surprise, AZ, Martin (Elizabeth) Martinez of Brea, Erlinda (Ron) Morehead of Aspen, CO, Philip Martinez of Santa Fe Springs and Irene Villapania of Arcadia.
