Victoria Torres, 81, was born on February 28, 1929 in Mexico, and passed away on June 14, 2010 in Montebello, California.
Victoria survived by her loving husband, Antonio Torres of Pico Rivera, sons, Marco Antonio Torres of Pico Rivera, Juan Francisco Torres of Pico Rivera, Miguel Angel Torres of Whittier, Rafael Torres of Colorado, daughters, Maria Victoria Hernandez of East Los Angeles, Raquel Morales of Rosemead, Alma Angelica Arenas of Montebello, sister, Manuela Raigoza of Pico Rivera, brother, Miguel Raigoza of Mexico, thirteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her son, Gabriel Torres.
Victoria was actively invovled with Adoracion Nocturna de Los Angeles, and she also enjoyed knitting, gardening and helping others.
Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Thursday, June 17, 2010, at Risher Mortuary Chapel in Montebello, California, with the vigil beginning at 7:00 pm. There will also be a special prayer (Oracion de los Difuntos) at 6:00pm.
Funeral mass will be at 11:30 am on Friday, June 18, 2010, at Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 4245 South Acacia Ave., Pico Rivera, with interment following at Resurrection Cemetery in Montebello, California.
