Vincent L. Castillo, 92, was born on November 14, 1926 in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Vincente Castillo and Benina Lopez and entered into eternal rest on February 27, 2019 in Montebello, California.
With hard working hands, Vincent was a locomotive machinist for the South Pacific Railroad for over 44 years. Vincent was also a veteran of the United States Army and earned an Honorable Discharge for his years bravely fighting for our freedom.
Vincent was an avid sports fan. He loved to watch baseball, especially his favorite team, the Yankees. He also enjoyed watching boxing and football. His favorite college team was Notre Dame and he liked the New England Patriots because of Tom Brady. He read the newspaper every morning and stayed current on all events. He loved action adventure movies and TV shows. He also really enjoyed the classics (black and white) movies. Most of all, he enjoyed visits from his family.
Vincent leaves behind his loving family: Daughter, Jeri Castillo of Chino Hills, California, Son, Vince Castillo (Esther) of West Covina, California, Son, Philip Castillo (Emilia) of Yorba Linda, California, Grandchildren, Mikayla Castillo of Chino Hills, California, Amy Cabrera (Brent) of Murrieta, California, Crystal Castillo of West Covina, California, Vincent Castillo IV of West Covina, California, Anthony Castiilo and Chrstian Castillo of Yorba Linda, California, Great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Cabrera, Luke Cabrera, Melody Cabrera, Noah Cabrera, Olivia Cabrera all of Murrieta, California, as well as several other family members and friends who loved him and will miss him dearly. Vincent was greeted at Heaven's Gate by his wife of 62 years, Frances.
