Wilburt was a florist and an artist in painting, drawing, ceramics, and pottery. Wilburt enjoyed buying and selling antiques, gardening, and cooking, at one point he was a director of the community garden.
Wilburt is survived by his loving family: Wife, Doris Shandy, Children, John Shandy, and Matthew Shandy, Grandchildren, George Lopez, Ruben Shandy, Matthew Shandy Jr., Max Shandy, and Cheyanne Tucker, Sisters, Betty Brown, and Joann Shandy, and Sisters-in-law, Vicky Shandy, and Mary Shandy. Wilburt will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
Predeceased by his parents, Benjamin and Mary Shandy, and brothers, Jackie Lee Shandy, Benny Shandy, and Harold Shandy.
