William "Bill" Sherwood Johnson Jr

William "Bill" Sherwood Johnson Jr., 78, was born on September 19, 1941 in Maryland to William Sherwood Johnson Sr. and Mary Gertrude Lucas, and entered into eternal rest on December 4, 2019 in Anaheim, California.
After graduating from Duke University on a Navy Scholarship, Bill served in the United States Navy and earned an Honorable Discharge for his faithful service to our great nation. He served 2 Tours of Duty in the Vietnam War on the USS Bon Homme Richard. Bill also dedicated his time and effort working in the International Steel Trading Business, in Management and Sales for over 33 years.
Bill was an avid reader. He enjoyed completing the Sudoku Puzzles in the daily newspaper. Bill followed International News and Affairs. He was a dedicated family man. Bill adored his grandchildren and loved spending time attending their sports and dance activities. He was a true Duke Blue Devil Basketball fan. He also loved following the Baltimore Orioles, Baltimore Ravens, and Anaheim Angels. Sunday family dinners were something he always enjoyed. His kindness, generosity and love will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Bill is survived by his loving family: Wife, Joann Johnson of Garden Grove, Ca., Children, Lisa (Tom) Ryan of Garden Grove, Ca., Michael (Graceann) Johnson of Seal Beach, Ca., Grandchildren, Liam and Reagan Johnson of Seal Beach, Ca., and other family and friends who will miss him dearly.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Robert Johnson.
