William "Bill" Laviguer, age 88, was born in Los Angeles, California on September 5, 1926 to John Alfred Laviguer and Irene Beers and passed away in Montebello, Califronia on January 9, 2015. He proudly served his country in the United States Military and was given an Honorable Discharge.
Bill sold newspapers on the corner of Whittier and Atlantic as a young boy. He retired from Southern Pacific Railroad. After that, he worked at the Prescription Shop for a few years. then, worked at Beverly hospital as a security guard. he then spent the rest of his retirement uears volunteering at Beverly Hospital on the Hospital Guild. he loved working there and everyone there loved him.
He loved spending time with his family. He loved playing bingo, watching The Young and the Restless, playing word search puzzles and volunteering at Beverly Hospital. He was also a Grand Knight several times with The Knights of Columbus at St. Benedicts Catholic Church.
William is survived by his daughter Renee Collins of Diamond Bar, Annette Laviguer of Montebello, and son-in-law Don Collins of Diamond Bar. He also leaves behind 2 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. William was greeted at Heavens gate by his loving wife Caroline who preceded him in death (2002).
