William George Voll died on August 12th, 2020 from pancreatic cancer, just one week shy of his 78th birthday. He was born in Venice, California to Thelma Kosc, and Louise Voll.
Bill was one of 5 siblings who were extremely close: Mary Lou the eldest sister, Joseph is the eldest brother then Bill, Daniel, and Catherine. Bill married Gracie Lee Adams-Behnke and had two daughters: Tamara and Jennifer. After being married for 8 years and divorcing, Bill continued the raising of his girls and was exceptionally close with both of them and their families which includes two son-in-laws, Kyle and Mark, and 7 grandchildren: Ryan, Lane, Emilee, Kylee, Shae, Stella, and Bryce.
It was a common occurrence for Bill to be walking with his daughters, proudly wearing his 173rd Airborne Brigade hat, smiling and nodding as passersby who'd stop to thank him for his service in Vietnam. Though he didn't share graphic details of his experiences in Vietnam with his daughters, he made his feelings and allegiance of comradery towards his fellow soldiers crystal clear.
William is survived by his loving family, his daughters, Tamara Lynn Baze (and her husband Kyle) of Pomona, CA, and Jennifer Ann Blaz (and her husband Mark) of San Dimas, CA, and his grandchildren, Lane, Kylee, Shae, Ryan, Emilee, Stella, and Bryce. He leaves behind his brother, Joseph Voll, and his sisters, Mary Louise MacNeil, and Catherine Hayes. William was greeted at Heaven's Gate by his brother, Daniel Voll, his father, Louis George Voll, and his mother, Thelma Elizabeth Cosc. William will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.
