Yester Manoukian, 93, was born on January 23, 1931, in Beirut Lebanon to Hovsep Mekhitarian and Victoria Adourian, and entered into eternal rest on January 19, 2025, in Montebello, California.
Yester lived a long and fulfilling life, devoted to her family and her passions. A loving homemaker, she dedicated herself to caring for her children and grandchildren, creating a warm, nurturing home filled with love and laughter. Her greatest joy was cooking and feeding her family, always ensuring that everyone felt welcome at her table.
A devoted fan of the Los Angeles Lakers, Yester found excitement and joy in watching her team, as well as soccer, which she cherished every time it graced the television. Over the years, she developed a deep love for Mexican telenovelas, learning Spanish as she immersed herself in the stories that captured her heart.
Yester's legacy is one of selfless love, family, and a passion for the simple pleasures that brought her happiness.
Yester is survived by her loving family: Children, Sarkis Manoukian (Meline) Maral Tarpinian, Lussy Garboushian (Simon) and Sevag Manoukian (Vicki), Grandchildren, Kevork Manoukian, Serguey Manoukian (Jessica), Alex Manoukian, Raffi Garboushian (Ani), Christine Tarpinian (Chant), Lalig Mulhem (Jamil), Hrag Tarpinian, Haig Manoukian, and Aram Manoukian, Great Grandchildren, Nicolas Manoukian, Nanar Manoukian, Sarah Garboushian, and Aya Mulhem, Siblings, Marie Shakarian and Sarkis Mekhitarian, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Yester will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
