Genevieve Zaragoza Vilaubi
December 24, 1923 — November 11, 2012
Genevieve Zaragoza Vilaubi, 88, passed away November 11, 2012 in the City Of Industry. Born in East Los Angeles, she enjoyed sharing her many talents, treasures, and time with her family, friends, and especially her church. Jenny, as many called her, was best known for her quiet, gentle ways. A very classy lady! Prior to her retirement to Lake Elsinore, California, Ms Vilaubi enjoyed working for the Montebello Unified School District where she served as a community Aide for 10 years. She was instrumental in the planning and the approval of Saybrook Park, Montebello.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 53 years, Joseph Julian Vilaubi, and her sister Josephine Gonzalez. She is survived by her son Joseph Julian Vilaubi and his wife Frances of Whittier California, two grandsons, Julian Michael and Marcus Ernest, her brother, Louis Zaragoza of East Los Angeles, California, and her sister Rita Scherry of Fort Smith , Arkansas and many cousins, God children , nieces and nephews.
Visitation Services will be held on Monday, November 19, 2012 from 5:00-9:00 in the Risher Montebello Mortuary Chapel and reception center with a Catholic Vigil at 7:00pm also in the chapel. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at 11:30am at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church in Montebello. Interment will follow at Rose Hills Memorial Park.
